Supporting clients' families in their time of need
It's our mission to be there for your clients in their moments of truth. Our Waiver of Premium on Death, and Bereavement Grant benefits exist to do just that, by offering some financial relief in the event of a loss of a loved one.
For these benefits, we've updated the 'self-inflicted act' exclusion. Now for customers who have health insurance for more than 13 months and pass away due to deliberate self-harm, their family members can access this extra financial help.

Training resources 10.0.5 - Accidental Injury Cover
Our new optional benefit
From Friday 1st September 2017, new and existing customers (with a policy issued after February 2004 Illustrations version 8.3 or later) have the ability to take out Accidental Injury Cover alongside a core Sovereign TCM product from the Personal and Business range. This optional benefit provides customers with a lump sum payment to continue daily life while they recover from an accidental injury.

Accreditation reminder
- Completion of 10.0.5 Accidental Injury Cover accreditation in relation to the introduction of this new optional benefit is compulsory for all Advisers selling the Sovereign product range.
- Upon completion you will receive your accreditation certificate and 1 structured CPD credit.
- For assistance in completing this accreditation please refer to the Accidental Injury Cover FAQs, the policy wordings and the other resources available to you above.

Introducing trauma insurance for children
Sovereign now provides parents with the opportunity to take out standalone comprehensive trauma insurance for their children, to help get the entire family through a difficult time.
From 19th June 2017 we're lowering the entry age of personal Progressive Care and Comprehensive Living Assurance from 16 years down to 2 years of age.
